This was beautifully demonstrated recently by sisters Pitchayaporn (Pitcha) and Anyanat (Pitta) Nanthawatsiri, who earned well-deserved recognition by securing third place at the Brighton Got Talent Competition, hosted by Brighton College International School Bangkok.
Their performance was an exquisite expression of cultural fusion, seamlessly uniting the rich heritage of Thailand with the timeless elegance of classical ballet. The sisters graced the stage with a composed and captivating routine that left a lasting impression on the audience.
This performance was a true triumph of artistic synthesis. The choreography beautifully juxtaposed traditional Thai classical hand postures in the dancers’ upper body movements with the precise, sweeping leg and footwork of classical ballet. Complementing this graceful movement was a stunning orchestral arrangement of the beloved Thai classic “Lao Duang Deuan,” dynamically mixed with a modern viral song that engaged the audience from the very first note. Visually, the cross-cultural aesthetic was perfectly completed by the girls’ elegant, modern golden-yellow costumes, thoughtfully accented with traditional Thai classical hair accessories.
This showcase was the culmination of years of quiet dedication. Pitcha and Pitta began their performing arts journey at the age of three under the expert guidance of Dr. Kemisa Boonyakiate (Kru Gibb), the CEO and founder of the renowned “Dance Me Up” performing arts school in Bangkok. Beyond their strong foundational ballet training, the sisters also study piano, cultivating a deep and joyful appreciation for both music and dance.
Their artistic passions are beautifully balanced with their academic pursuits. The girls enjoy their pathway in the performing arts just as much as they value studying and engaging in every subject at Brighton College International School Bangkok.
The foundation of their steady growth lies in the nurturing environment created by their parents, Mr. Solosh and Mrs. Phatcharee Nanthawatsiri.
